The new Baby Cakes website

When Gerry and Ursula got married last summer they got their cake (all 150 of them) from Babycakes. Tasha does great cupcakes. So when she asked for a website, we were only too happy to help out. If only we could get the taste in a browser it would look like ummmmmmm, maybe just one more. Check out Babycakes cupcakes and let us know what you think.

Malwarebytes will not update

I recently came across an issue where a computer was infected with a virus (one of the fake anti virus programs, antivirus soft) and when I downloaded Malwarebytes I could install it but not run it.
To solve this issue;
  • Open your internet settings (in IE this is under Tools – Options, or use Control Panel – Internet Options).
  • Under the Connections tab, click on LAN Settings.
  • Untick the Proxy Server boxes and click on OK.
Malwarebytes should now update. In this case the virus was trying to route all internet traffic through a proxy server on 127.0.0.1 on port 5555. 127.0.0.1 is the local computer and I would guess it is trapping all traffic to redirect you to it’s own websites and stop you downloading antivirus software.
Another issue is that sometimes Malwarebytes will not install. A virus can stop the file from running. To get around this just rename the setup file. It should be called mbam-setup.exe but you can rename it to xyz.exe and it will then run and install.
