The importance of backing up

We all know we need a backup but often it gets left behind as there’s so much other work to do. Only someone who has had their computer crash, taking their work with them the day before a thesis is due, or their tax return is to be filed can really understand the value of a good backup.

Traditionally these were done to tape, and stored in fire proof safes or taken away to a separate storage facility. Happy Holidays

Here at TekBusters, Christmas is our favourite time of year. Gerry is looking forward to a white one instead of the traditional Irish wet one and Ursula is planning on enough Christmas lights to light up an airstrip.

Fake Anti Virus programs

At TekBusters, we’ve been noticing an increase in the number of fake anti-virus programs appearing. These programs look very real and are very convincing. A professional looking window will tell you that your computer is infected, and also tell you where to click to fix the problem.
The actual problem is that this window is not an anti-virus program, it is instead a scam to part you from your hard earned dollars.
